What is Team Builder?
What have psychology, AI and team performance got in common? Team Builder, a virtual psychologist that understands you, like really knows you at a deep level, and knows each member of your team in the same way and so can offer you support, advice, guidance insights, interactive practice sessions - whatever you need, whenever you need it.
How does it work?
You and your team each take a personality assessment that helps you understand your individual strengths and areas to work on. Then each of you can get individual, confidential coaching, on any topic you choose. So you can ask, “Where do I have to step up in your view and how do I do that?” or “How can I improve my ability to push back on people,” absolutely anything, really, and your coach will offer practical guidance and coaching tailored to your unique personality. And, the more you use your Team Builder, the better it will get to understand you through its unique machine learning and so the advice stays relevant and grows with you on your development journey.
At an interpersonal level, because your coach knows you so well, and knows your colleagues in the same way, you can ask your coach, for example, “Why do Sam and I not get along so well, and what can we do about it?” Your coach will explain the differences and more importantly, how you can bridge those differences and leverage them. And, get this, your coach will even offer to role play some solutions with you so you can practice before having the conversation, so your session goes smoothly and positively. And your coach is available 24/7, always there for you, ready, so you can ask, “I have to have a conversation with Lucy tomorrow about her lack of follow through, can you tell me how to approach that?” and your coach will provide the best approach, in detail, and also offer to let you practice the conversation ahead of the meeting. How clever is that!
At a team level, as Team Builder knows each of you so well, you can ask for team advice too. For example, “Why does our team generally fall down on delivery, and what can we do about it?” or “How can we improve our ability to influence,” and your coach will provide spot on solutions, practical tips and even team exercises and other resources, all allowing your team to begin to navigate problems and become more collaborative and high performing.
We all know we prefer people like us because we understand them, but we actually need people who are not like us and that can cause friction. We need that balance in the team so we can all leverage each other’s strengths.
