My Learning: practise one change in everyday conversations

Knowing what to do is different from doing it under pressure. My Learning gives Team Leads a practical focus, a situation to work through and an action to try at work.

Two colleagues making time for a thoughtful conversation

Illustrative example · explore the steps

Make the next step clear.

Alex is closing a 1:1 with Sam. A useful learning focus is to check that they leave with the same understanding.

Select an action to see it carried forward.

Take it into the conversation.

One small action gives Alex something specific to practise in the next 1:1.

Ask Sam to describe the next step in their own words.

The real conversation stays with you.

Return to what happened.

Check back opens fourteen days after saving an action. Reflect on what you tried and what you would change.

Ask Sam to describe the next step in their own words.
14 days · space to try your action

An attempt is something to learn from, not proof of improvement.

Small enough to use. Specific enough to try.

A focused lesson moves through a workplace situation, a choice, feedback and a practical action. It helps a Team Lead pause before the familiar response takes over.

Work through the situation and feedback at your own pace, then save an action to try. Lesson cadence is configurable; the fourteen-day Check back is a later reflection, not the time needed to complete a lesson.

Choose. Try. Check back.

  1. Work through the situation

Consider the choice and its feedback. Relate it to a conversation you actually need to have.

  2. Save an action

Choose a practical change to carry into work. Keep it small enough to attempt.

  3. Return to what happened

Check back opens fourteen days after saving an action, giving you a reason to reflect on the attempt.

Practice needs room for an honest answer

Lesson choices, action text and private reflections are hidden from other people in your organisation. Organisation Admins can see learning focus, assignment and completion information; they cannot read the private work inside a lesson.

Completion shows participation. It does not establish that behaviour changed. Pulse provides separate reported experience to review with the appropriate safeguards.
